lxiv / 404 pp + adverts to endpapers and 2 pages of ads at either end, blue and red cloth with gilt titles, 4 guard mounted double page chromolithographic plates. Cloth marked and stained, corners and spine ends scuffed hard and eroded, backstrip torn down both sides with a little loss, hinges cracked, front hinge weak, one gathering loose and edge worn where proud of fore edge, some spots and marks to pages, inscription date 1875 verso frontispiece, a number of contemporary handwritten recipes laid in.
