The first bombing raid ever performed on a nation's capital city (Tokyo). 16 B-25 bombers took off from an aircraft carrier, complete their mission but getting the planes to safety was the real problem because they did not have fuel enough to return to the carrier. So it was the sea, Russia and China. Their is an appendix which details alll the members of the mission and what happened to each of them. One of the classic stories of WWII.
