This tells the adventures of the Woodcutter's daughter, Sylvia, and the illustrations are delightful. This has been a read and loved book, so is not pristine, but the binding is good, and the gilt is still golden. The binding is a little loose, but intact, and there is a small tear at the bottom of one of the black and white illustrations. The cover shows some staining and there is minor foxing on some of the pages, but it is in pretty good condition for its age.
