Stated first printing. Signed by Auden on title page. Green cloth boards are in good shape, mild soiling along edges, 1/4" tall water stain to tail of spine, corners bumped, a bit of wear to titling on spine, a couple very small spots on front cover. Binding is very slightly shaken but fully intact. Text block edges are rather heavily foxed, with some foxing throughout interior, including title page. Soiled spot on FFEP. Text block has a slight bow. Cream-colored jacket is soiled and discolored with some water-staining. Spine sunned, chips to corners and edges, especially front cover top edge and head and tail of spine. A well-loved but still nice signed copy of this first edition.
