Unused crisp, clean, and square copy bound in burgundy cloth over brown paper-covered boards, with matching endpapers, gilt title on cover, and decoration on spine. This is an unnumbered copy of the edition limited to 125 copies. Binder's error has left a 1 1/2" break in paper at back hinge near top, else fine. Author's signature on title page. Slipcase is bound in same burgundy cloth, and is pristine. A photocopy of the original Clark City catalogue page is included. This book is the result of years of personal study. In the spring of 1989, a Canadian black wolf birthed a litter of pups near Marion, Montana. Her life embodied most of the emotions man has ever felt for the wolf. 165 pages include map, photo, wolf-pack family tree, and pen-and-ink sketches by Russell Chatham.
