Riga: Kniga dlia vsekh, 1931. Octavo (19 Ã 12.5 cm). Original illustrated wrappers (unattributed); [4], 237 pp. Frontispiece portrait. Good or better; light wear to bottom of spine and light soil to front wrapper; internally very good. A rare autobiographical account by a Russian prisoner of war in Germany after 1918, absorbingly and emotionally told, with detailed sketches of his fellow prisoners. We were unable to find any information on the author, who may have used a pseudonym. Published by a Russian exile publishing house in Riga, Latvia. With an attractive cover illustration signed G. D. Not in Savine. Not held by the Russian State or National Libraries. KVK and OCLC show five copies in North America, at Berkeley, Chicago, Harvard, Ohio State, and Princeton.
