Spine has been nicely clear tape reinforced, some minor fray on edges and corners. I notieced a few minor spots on a few pages, due to food spatter, but very minor, the marjority of the book is clean. A sturdy book. This has long been a favorite cook book and true cooking companion. --This is a Hardback--hard cover edition in good / nice condition for its 70 years, with typical slight wear to edges and spine. Overall good / nice copy of this scarce edition. Excellent cooking manual for both beginner and seasoned cooks. A good book to enjoy and keep on hand for yourself. Or would make an ideal gift for the fan / reader in your life. Cooking for family and friends is one of the great pleasures in life. Interior, pages are aged, but clean.
