The wraps are a little shelf rubbed - Volume No 2/3. Little shelf rubbed, and light foxing on the front and last pages, very little in the body of the book. Volume No 4. Original red cloth binding with gilt lettering and decoration to front board, very slight wear, slightly browned to spine. Contents clean and tight, no inscriptions. Illustrated throughout with b/w plates reproduced from the 1757 edition. A very good set. Size: Sm 8vo

Untrimmed page edges are fairly tanned and internal contents considerably brighter. A handled set that's still clean and reliable with a lot of retained charm.
