A rare book in good condition. In the large format. A pencil name at the very top of the copyright page. First edition. The boards are very good with a couple of tiny blemishes (surface removal) bright colors, nice red cloth spine. The back board has some dirt and soil. The boards are coming loose from the string binding, about half way. The contents are firmly attached. 20 pages. Mylar cover to the book. A rare book loaded with color illustrations ( including end papers and small color illustration on the title page (11), and lots of grey and white in text illustrations, 10. 8"x11".

OCLC locates only one copy at the University of Florida. Scarce. The story of the Funny-Bunny family's ill-fated picnic that was interrupted by a woodpecker, mole, woodchuck, frogs, turtles, bugs, and finally rain! The author and illustrator, Walter Harrison Cady (1877-1970), was an American cartoonist and illustrator best known for his Peter Rabbit comic strip in the New York Herald Tribune Syndicate papers.

The boards are coming loose from the string binding, 1 1/2" from the bottom of the spine. . The contents are firmly attached. 20 pages. Mylar cover to the book. A rare book loaded with color illustrations ( no end papers, front piece page attached to the inside front board and the last page is attached to the back board, ), and lots of grey and white in text illustrations, I counted 10 large in text color illustrations, including front piece. One smaller color illustration on the title page. 8"x11".
