undated but published mid 1880s following Caldecott's death . Contains four of Caldecott's picture books that were published separately between 1878-1886. Caldecott was famous for his light-hearted depictions of English countryside, characters and animals, reproduced by the innovative colour printer Evans in delicate pastel shades. Interior has ex-owner's stamp inside cover and miniature bookseller's label, otherwise clean throughout. All pages are tight wihtin binding, 4 pages of Farmer's Boy are torn at binding edge but does not impinge upon illustrations. Beige cloth boards over printed with pictorials in red , brown etc are clean and unscuffed, spine undamaged.
