These books are in Very good condition. There are no signatures or markings of any kind. The pages are clean and free of any foxing. The gilt lettering and decoration to the outside boards is bright and unrubbed. This set was published by the Easton Press. This is a complete 5 Volume set signed by Douglas Adams. It comes with a certificate of Authenticity and a blank unattached bookplate from the Easton Press. A rare set of a classic work.
Extremely scarce signed first printing of the The Illustrated Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Adams' large signature by marker at the top of the title page without inscription. The book has a few tiny dents in the bottom edges of the covers, is otherwise clean and bright inside and out. The dust jacket is clean, bright and is not price-clipped. It has no holes, chips or tears but does have slight rubbing or light scratches to the glossy surfaces and a few wrinkles near the edges. (Note: Photos may show a flash reflection.) Bound in publisher's blue paper-covered boards over magenta spine cloth lettered in metallic blue. Very Good with lean to binding, fading to edges of boards, with light wear at extremities. Spot of rubbing to front board and light spotting to text block edge. In a Very Good unclipped dust jacket with light wear at extremities, minor edge tears, minor staining and toning.

Near Fine with slight lean to binding and light rubbing to gilt lettering, gift inscription dated 1980 to front free endpaper verso and contents toned. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with light rubbing and toning. A nice copy of this sci-fi classic.
