"We have collected all of Poe's Tales which are short stories" for this edition. Illustrated by William Sharp. This is bound in the publisher's original black & orange patterned cloth covers with black spine and gilt spine lettering. There is a previous owner name dated 1944 on the front free end paper, and another owner name indicating she received from the first owner in 1962. The spine is sun faded to gray, else it is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings except as noted. The gray slipcase is worn and split but still serviceable. Also includes the 4 page publishe's Sandglass publication describing the book and the illustrator. The only date is that of the 1941 Limited Editions Club first edition--New York Heritage imprints were used fom 1938-1972.
