A very good copy in green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering and decorated endpapers, with slight bumping at the spine ends, typical tanning, and a previous owner's bookplate on the inside cover in a green, illustrated dustwrapper (designed by Robert Edmond Jones) with darkening at the spine, a minor wrinkle on the front panel and minimal edgewear at the spine ends. The author's famous reworking of Oresteia into the disintegration of a family in New England, circa 1865-1866.
