1932. First Edition. 288 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth. Pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, with heavy foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards have been moderately rub worn, with noticeable shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are bumped and a little frayed and spine ends are crushed, with small splits and chips. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

Endpapers splitting at spine, pages yellowed.; 8vo; 256 pages Good Some damage to spine, spine faded and bumped. Ink front endpaper.

Green cloth with some light spotting to the cover. Spine titles lightly faded but readable. Interior clean and unmarked and the binding is tight. Contains the titles: "Homecoming," "The Hunted," and "The Haunted."

First UK edition. Originally published in the US by Horace Liveright in 1931. Boards are clean and unmarked. Light browning to page edges with scattered spotting. Endpapers heavily browned with some spotting. Pages generally clean and unmarked otherwise. Publishers card laid in. Jacket has browning to the spine and some scattered spotting over the front panel. Quarter inch closed tear to top edge of front panel, chipping to the corners and one small nick to the fore edge of the rear panel. Browning to the reverse. First printing.

Interior is clean, bright, and unmarked. Previous owner's neat signature and date on front free endaper. DJ spine darkened and chipped at top and bottom.

Illustrated endpapers. 256 pp. A tight, near fine example, bit of light spotting lower front cover. in the original Robert Edmund Jones designed dust jacket, near fine, spine and outer edges a touch toned. Trilogy cycle of O'Neill plays: "Homecoming", "The Hunted" and "The Haunted", a retelling of the ancient Greek Orestia by Aeschylus. The characters parallel those of the original work. The statgeplay of the trilogy debuted on Broadway in Octover, 1931 and ran for 150 performances. It was the basis for the 1947 film starring Rosalind Russell, Michael Redgrave, and Raymond Massey as well as for a 1967 opera by Martin David Levy.

Near fine (lightly bumped corners) in a good to very good dustjacke that's missing a chip to the top of the spine and top left of front pane lthat affects the title lettering (specifically. Mourning, the es of Becomes, and ra of Electra, and the E of Eugene are missing) Other than that it's quite a nice jacket. Not priceclipped and no markings.
