Dodge was an influential American children's author, best known for her novel Hans Brinker, or The Silver Skates. Bound in publisher's original blue cloth stamped in gilt, a cloth color unrecorded in BAL 2051. Very Good with mottling to cloth, old price written in color pencil to verso of front free endpaper and pages toned. A fantastic association copy between two female titans of children's literature of the late 19th and early 20th-centuries. Not to mention, books signed by Burnett are scarce.
