5-1/2" x 8-1/8", 245pp incl. front matter. Sewn binding in blue-black cloth-covered boards. Boards are lightly faded at edges, and corners as well as both ends of spine are gently bumped and worn. Jacket is age discoloured and edge worn, with several small chips at the top and base of spine and adjacent folds. Jacket is intact, with previous bookseller's knock-down price (9/-) written in pencil over printed 18s price. Jacket is now protected in mylar. Binding is square and tight. Minor moisture spotting, age discoloration on top edge of book block. Pages are clean and bright and unmarked.
245pp. Black cloth boards w gilt title to spine in dust-jacket w v minor foxing to top RH corner of front panel and v light fading to edges but otherwise clean and intact. Interior very good. Tight and bright, a very nice copy.
London, Faber, 1957. Octavo; cloth; an excellent copy in the slightly rubbed dustwrapper a little sunned about the spine. With a contemporary review (from the New Statesman) loosely inserted.
First American edition. Octavo. 245pp. Black cloth with gilt-stamped spine. Although, not stated poet Francis Golffing's extensive pencil annotations on the front fly along with another's penned name and date and small bookstore label, light foxing on endpapers, cloth is moderately soiled with front board slightly bowed a bit, about very good lacking the dust jacket.
