First Edition hardcover book published 1947. No dust jacket. Large format (size approx. 9-1/4" x 12") blue cloth covered boards with gold lettering on cover and spine. Slight age-toning to edges; small spots of wear to spine corners. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Pages and edges are clean with clean endpapers; no names, writing or marks. Lovely full page black and white photographs of Parisians enjoying their great and beautiful city (photographs by Fritz Henle). Book designed by Alexey Brodovitch.

Profusely illustrated with full-page b&w photos. Dust jacket is intact but fragile with tearing, creasing and toning. Very scarce in the jacket.

First edition. Very Good minus with wear to the lower tips, light bumps to the bottom edges of the boards, and a light bump to the heel in a Good minus dust jacket with a one and a half inch chip to the spine at the heel, rubbing to the back cover, short tears and creases, chips at the extremities and wear at the edges; that said, the front is nice with minimal loss, the interior is clean and bright with light rub-off to only one page. Blue clothbound hardcover with crisp gilt title to front and spine. All dust jackets are protected by a clear mylar cover. BOOKS SHIP THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY, WRAPPED IN PADDING, IN A BOX. Beautifully seen Paris street scenes taken before World War II. Very scarce in dj of any condition.
