First Thus--i.e., 'First Baronet printing, October 1977'. A Fair 4to paperback that features 'Swords of the Red Brotherhood' and 'The Isle of Pirates' Doom' in addition to 'Black Vulmea's Vengeance'. This is NOT the Zebra mass market paperback. The contents including seven color illustration plates appear clean and complete, but binding failures account for the modest condition grade. More particularly the title page/publication page as well as the following pages through page 18 are loose or at least detached from the spine. The paperback also opens between pages 128 and 129 all the way to binding. The covers, which feature an illustration by Stephen E. Fabian and reference the ISBN 0-89437-011-1 and a retail price of $7.95, have the appearance if not the reality of being well worn. Actual wear does include a spine with a pronounced reading crease, erosion in the head, and rubbing along the edges. The covers also have an upper corner scuff/crease in the front and a half-inch fore edge tear in the rear. No ex-library markings.

The text pages are clean and bright. The dust jacket is crisp and clean, but noticeable fading to the entire dust jacket.
