Blue Cloth with titles and decoration in white and black. The top edge stained blue. The bindings are tight and square. Text clean, light even toning. Moderate shelf handling wear. 8.25 inches tall; 148 pages with an index by drink name and an index of drinks by ingredient. Illustrations by Bernard Seaman. First Edition, First Printing. The dust jacket has been trimmed and attached to the endsheets. More than just recipes, the book contains history and background of drinks and ingredients. The author / compiler Jack Townsend was the president of the Bartender's Union of New York.
