Boards have moderate corner bumping and edge-wear with visible tanning, staining and scuffing overall. Spine has moderate rubbing and tanning with noticeable splitting and crushing to joints and ends.

Many illus., 6 x 3.5", gilt-lettered brown buckram backed original leather, 192pp, new spine a bit rubbed, old leather worn and scraped, forecorners bumped and chipped, bookplate of A. Bleecker Banks (twice mayor of Albany) inside front cover, blindstamp of book binder on rear blank, pp toned a bit with some very light yellowing but still a nice copy; a nice, tight copy.

Engravings, 6.5 x 4", mottled calf, gilt ruled spine, 239pp. Covers slightly warped, edges worn, spine sunned and outer hinges starting, lacks spine label, bookplate (Carroll Alton Means), first and last few pages toned and soiled, scattered foxing, minor worming else good to very good condition.
