Fore-edge and the first few pages affected by some very light foxing, otherwise a very good copy of this attractive edition. Publishers orange cloth with black lettering to the spine and front board. Small gilt stamped school badge to the front board. School prize label, dated 1942, on the front free endpaper. In the scarce original colour illustrated dustwrapper. A couple of small chips to the edge of the wrapper and the spine a bit toned but overall in very good condition.

Third edition, published in January 1909, three months after the first and second editions were published in October 1908. Hardback in Good Plus condition. Blue cloth boards with gilt titles and illustrations, bumped, edge rubbed and scuffed, minor surface marks, contents rough cut and a bit soiled to the edges, inscriptions to the fep, end papers lightly tanned, minor marks and wear, minor foxing throughout, binding firm and almost square.
