David Livingstone (1813-1873) was raised religiously and later accepted a job with the London Missionary Society, that sent him to Southern Africa to build three missionaries. In 1849 he went on his first expedition to Lake Ngami. In 1851 took another expedition to the Chobe and Zambesi Rivers. Later he visited the "Mosi-oa-tunya Falls" which he named "Victoria Falls".
