3339 pp., index, bibliography, appendices, large fold-out map, photographs, maps, illustrations. A very good tight, internally clean copy with wear to its edges, corners and top and bottom of its spine. Limited to 1000 copies. An interesting narrative by one who participated in the Battle of the Little Bighorn and was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. This book comes from the research library of the late author and frontier military historian Douglas C. McChristian and has his tasteful embossed stamp at the bottom of the title page.
Peter Thompson participated in Little Bighorn battle, was wounded and received Medal of Honor for his actions in bringing water to his wounded comrades on Reno Hill while under fire. His account is often quoted, but its reliability remains controversial. Nonetheless, an important title in Custeriana. Wear to top/bottom of spine and corners.
