Although Mr. Nemes called this edition a second edition, but it's really a new edition with added material. Fine in a fine dust jacket.

(Hardcover, 1988). (1975) 1988 Author's Edition - deluxe issue. 8vo (157 x 236mm). Ppiv,130. Colour & b/w photographs, bibliography. Full dark red bonded leather, spine titled in gilt. Tipped-in limitation page with an actual soft-hackle fly, limited to 180 copies, signed and numbered by the author. Red paper-covered board slipcase. Fine copy in slightly used slipcase. Copy #097 of an edition limited to 180 copies. Sylvester Nemes spent many years enthusing to his fellow North American fly fishermen about the soft-hackled fly, and in doing so he created an interesting and useful byway in the literature of the North Country fly. He was, of course, premature in asking "Why did the style lose favor in the current century?" First published by the Chatham Press in 1975, reprinted by the author in 1988, and again by Stackpole Books in 1993 and subsequently. The first two editions only carried the sub-title on the dust-wrapper. .
