A full set of all 20 novels in the Aubrey/Maturin series. All are first edition, first printings and all are in very good to fine condition in original wrappers. Comprising: 'Master and Commander' - First edition, first printing. Published by Collins in London, 1970. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper, designed by Dell'Orco, has two closed tears to the spine and foreedge. It has not been price clipped, however, and shows the original £1.50 net (or) 30s. net price. There are some light handling marks throughout the wrapper, too. It is the first issue with 'The Knights of Dark Renown' review on the rear. The boards, in the original publishers woven cloth, are free from notable chips and marks. There is slight toning to the front preliminaries, with very light foxing also present. The text blocks are slightly foxed. It is free from previous owners ink and is, overall, in very good condition; 'Post Captain' - First edition, first printing. Published by Collins in London, 1972. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper has some wear to the top edges and one closed tear to the rear panel. It has not been price clipped, and shows the original £1.80 net. The boards, in the original publishers woven cloth, are free from notable chips and marks. There is slight toning to the front preliminaries, with foxing also present to the top edge. The text blocks are slightly foxed. It is free from previous owners ink and is, overall, in very good condition; 'HMS Surprise' - first edition, first printing published by Collins in 1973. A very good book without inscriptions in a like unclipped wrapper with a small chip to the corner of the front flap. Some rubbing to the extremities. A little faded on the spine. 'The Mauritius Command' - First edition, first printing published by Collins in 1977. A near fine book without inscriptions in a very good lightly faded spine - some light wear to the extremities; 'Desolation Island' - first edition, first printing published by Collins in 1978. A near fine book without inscriptions in a near fine unclipped wrapper none faded spine; 'The Fortune of War' - a first edition, first printing published by Collins in 1978. A near fine book without inscriptions in a near fine clipped wrapper; 'The Surgeon's Mate' - a first edition, first printing published by Collins in 1980. A near fine book without inscriptions - spotting to top edge, in a very good unclipped wrapper which is lightly faded on the spine. The rarest in the series; 'The Ionian Mission' - a first edition, first printing published by Collins 1981. A near fine book with spotting to the top edge. No inscriptions. In a near fine unclipped wrapper which is lightly faded and has some spotting to the rear flap; 'Treason's Harbour' - a first edition, first printing published by Collins in 1983. A near fine book without inscriptions, with spotting to the top edge in a unclipped near fine wrapper which is a little faded to the spine; 'The Far Side of the World' - a first edition, first printing published by Collins in 1984. A near fine book without inscriptions in a very good unclipped first issue dust wrapper with fading to the spine and not price clipped showing £8.95; 'The Reverse of the Medal' - a first edition, first printing Collins in 1986. A near fine book without inscriptions - spotting to the top edge. In a very good unclipped wrapper with a fading to the spine; 'The Letter of Marque' - a first edition, first printing published by Collins in 1988. A near fine book without inscriptions in a near fine unclipped faded wrapper; 'The Thirteen Gun Salute' - a first edition, first printing published by Collins in 1989. A very good book without inscriptions with spotting to the page edges.
