This book is a later printing of this title with bright blue boards & bright silver letters on the front cover & spine with a dog team on the front cover. There is very light wear on the spine tips & cover corners. Blue & white endpapers. The dust jacket has wear on the spine tips, cover corners & along the edges with brown stains on the back cover. $2.00 on the flap
The dark blue cloth cover has the title and some sled dogs in silver, with the title on the spine in silver also; the trimmed head is colored blue. The corners are not bumped, there is a water smear on the back cover 3? long. The endpapers are in black and white and show a man driving his dog team, there is a former owners name there. The frontispiece is of Silver Chief and is one of 5 total colored illustrations in the book, along with many black and white illustrations. The interior is bright and clean. The Dust-jacket has the picture of Silver Chief and the title is in black. There are a few chips to front cover, spine end and other chips; the price is unclipped.
First edition. Illustrated by Kurt Wiese. Very good in pictorial boards. Light rubs at spine ends and slong spine folds, fold in bottom corner of rear endpaper, top edge of text block spotted.
