Sean O'Faolain's journey around rural Ireland, and also to Northern Ireland. Very Good book in Good+ jacket. Pages largely clean, and well-bound, with light browning to endpapers, and browning to closed edges; and nice bookplate inside front cover. Covers have a little browning to cloth edges. Jacket front very good with bright illustration; some marks to back, tiny losses to spine ends, and mid spine, browning to spine and price-clipped. lost) Note: Paul Henry's autobiography illustrated with his art is also listed by David Ford Books.
Book has mild rubbing to the cover, mild rubbing to the top and bottom edges of spine, and the beginnings of a crack to the hinge (pg. 56, 64,136); Dust jacket has moderate chipping to top and bottom edges of spine, mild rubbing and chipping to corners of cover, mild rubbing to edges of spine, a mild fold that extends the length of the front insert, mild staining to spine, small rips along top edge of cover (one about a half inch in length), a small chip to top edge of back cover, a black sticker (dime-sized) to top corner of front insert, and rubbing to cover. Overall book is in good condition with a solid binding, clean pages, and mylar laminated. Photos available upon request,
Third printing of the US edition, very good in a very good dust jacket. Dark green cloth with gilt lettering on the spine. Owner name, date, and place on front endpaper; a few pencil notes on rear endpaper. One of the full page illustrations was miscut by the binder, and extends slightly beyond the page edges. The price clipped jacket has just a little edgewear. "Specially illustrated by Paul Henry"; 308 pages.
