1948. First Edition. 196 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Green cloth boards with gilt lettering. Ex-Library copy, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Clean pages with light tanning. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Pencil markings to front free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Gilt lettering is darkened. Book has a slight forward lean. Visible wear marks to boards.

Green, papered boards with brilliant gilt-stamped lettering on spine; small darker green stain at center spine bottom, thinly extending across rear cover bottom edge right (1/4" highest point at lower left spine, diminishing along lower edge over a 1" stretch: very minor, but there you have it), else Fine: strong spine, sharp corners, clean text. Glossy olive/brown dustwrapper price-clipped, with lime title lettering down right front cover; tiny bump to lower front cover edge (NOT to book edge itself); spine sunned, but all lettering on spine distinct and readable, spilling across top front cover, diminishing from 1/2" to indistinguishable 1/4" or less.
