DES BARRES, Pamela [304] pp. Beech Tree Books 1987 8 1/2" x 6" Pamela Des Barres (September 9, 1948) is an American rock and roll groupie, writer, musician, and actress. She is best known for her 1987 memoir, I'm with the Band: Confessions of a Groupie, which details her experiences in the Los Angeles rock music scene of the 1960s and 1970s. She is also a former member of the experimental Frank Zappa-produced music group the GTOs.

First edition. Fine in fine dust jacket. The definitive 'tell all' groupie memoir. Hard to locate in top condition.; 8vo 8"-9" tall; 304 pages.

First Printing boldly signed with additional notation "Hugs & Kisses" on the title page with black marker. Includes 4 sections of black & white photographs. The book is square with sound hinges, no bumped corners or rub wear. Pages are clean and undamaged. There is light foxing (tan spotting) to the top edge (outer page edges). Dust jacket is not price-clipped and is completely clean with no scratches or rubbing. There are some small compression creases at the top edge of the spine and slight wear at the bottom edge of the spine. There is also a single 1/3" closed edge tear at the top edge of the front panel.
