The original booklet issued for a performance by Patti Smith titled "Veil: An Evening of Words and Song" and held at the Robert Miller Gallery, NYC, April 2, 2009. The performance was held during the run of an exhibition of Smith's photographs titled "Veil" at the same gallery, March 19 - April 18, 2009. We know of three such performances at the gallery for which a booklet was produced; all are different in content though the design is the same. This one reproduces her poem "Equation Daumal" along with two of her photographs of funerary statues. Laid-in is the exhibition announcement card and gallery press release. The back of the card announces a concurrent exhibition of work by Jem Cohen. Cohen shot the 2008 film "Equation Daumal," directed by Smith. Booklet: Stiff cream card, machine-folded twice to 6 pages (c-fold); 8 x 10 inches. Card: Stiff card, printed both sides; 5.75 x 8.5 inches. Condition: Both are Fine.
