It features pianist Richard Sohl and guitarists Tom Verlaine and Lenny Kaye. Kaye produced the single and worked closely with Smith throughout the 70s, performing with her group and contributing to four albums. The sleeve cheekily states “Free Keith,” presumably a reference to Keith Richards’ 1977 arrest for possession of heroin.
