1946. No edition remarks. 318 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth covered boards. Pages have mild tanning and foxing throughout, moderate at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Top edge of text block is dust marked. White marks to both boards and spine.
Fair condition hard cover, some wear to cover and spine, tanning to pages, spotting to pages, ex library book with all the usual markings, otherwise in a good readable condition.
1946. No Edition Remarks. 318 pages. Red and white dust jacket over brown cloth. Minor tanning to pages with heavier tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper and slight dog-eared pages throughout. Light tanning to text block edges. Boards have mild rubbing and minor bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends as well. Unclipped jacket with visible edge wear and major rubbing. Small tears to edges, corners and spine ends as well. There is also tape to the interior.
Although the boards look somewhat sun faded and edge worn, with a couple of slits to the cloth at the spine hinges and a little knocking to the corners, it is actually a reasonably sound clean copy. Internally the pages are clean throughout albeit a little toned, more especially at the page block edge which also has some mild foxing. There's a neat owner inscription on the front paste down page and a further one of "Miss Blow-Personal Copy" who believe was a ballet tutor as we have several others from her collection on the subject (see other listings.)
