In a fine dust jacket, with a small stain on the spine. An extremely well-researched and nicely illustrated guide to various animal skins used in the history of writing and printing. The book helps one identify, care for, and repair various types of matierial. According to the flap copy, Reed did significant research on the Dead Sea Scrolls. Uncommon in the trade.
