Gorgeous set of six splendiferous stamps from the wonderful Quentin Blake, illustrating Mr Dahl's marvellous books. Contained in an attractive glazed illustrated informative presentation sleeve together with a sheet of five different BFG stamps. Delightful! Quite irresistible!!!
First edition first printing octavo hardback. 208 pages illustrations by Quentin Blake. Pages very slightly tanned which is usual otherwise Very Good condition in Good + unclipped dust jacket (slight nicks of three corners otherwise near very good) No inscriptions.
True first British printing with original clipped jacket. Illustrations by Quentin Blake. Jacket has faults - namely edge/shelf wear, a few small (approx. 1cm) tears, pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine, a few small marks, pushing/bumping to corners, small loss to top surface to head of spine, the odd crease/rub to edges, a few small scratches, minor fading to spine and is in only good condition. Boards are very good (having been well protected by the jacket) with minor pushing/bumping to corners, the odd small bump/rub to edges and minor pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Top of pages have the odd small mark/minor foxing. Pages bit tanned. Large gift inscription and date in pen to front end-paper. Odd small mark/spot of foxing to page edges and bottoms. Very occasional small mark to pages. No other faults. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted.
