Trivial toning to text block, one closed tear to top of wrapper. A near fine copy in like wrapper. The first edition print run for Goblet of Fire was divided between Richard Clay (England) and Omnia Press (Scotland). In reality the great majority were printed by Clay, and those copies from Omnia Press were restricted to sale in the author's adopted home country of Scotland, with some copies also appearing in Ireland. These are now sought after and are proving difficult to find.

This particular copy contains a UNIQUE ORIGINAL watercolour of Harry engaged in the second task, facing one of the merpeople in the Black Lake, painted by Giles Greenfield, the cover artist, with his autograph to the lower right corner. Artwork is mounted as a frontispiece, together with the ORIGINAL PENCIL DRAWING, also signed. Housed in an elegant custom made fleece-lined quarter purple morroco slipcase with gilt titles and ribbon pull. Fine throughout.

This copy was previously sold by Adrian Harrington in 2013, and includes a letter of provenance accompanying that listing.
