Original green cloth. Covers have minor rubbing from shelf use, with repair to a 1" split at the bottom corner of v. II; otherwise a solid, clean, unmarked set of this sea classic, very scarce in this condition.

Caribbean maritime adventure books mentioned by both Richard Henry Dana (Two Years Before the Mast) and Herman Melville (Moby Dick). Boards' corners a little worn, spines discoloured and slightly skewed. Ownership stamp on pastedown front endpapers, which are very foxed, and occasional light foxing internally in both. Binding separated at rear of vol. 2, but still reasonably firm overall. Small 8vo.
