London. Stone and Co (Publishers). 1973. First Edition. Hard Cover. Duo-decimo, 12mo, 7½" x 4" (19cm x 11.4 cm) approx. 271 pp. Glossy blue boards with gilt titles to the spine. One corner is bumped and there is some very light rubbing at the spine ends. Text block is clean and unmarked and illustrated with monochrome photographs. Grey dust wrapper, unclipped with light rub at head of the spine and one corner. Very near fine. The author of this book was closely connected to Israel Aircraft Industries and tells here of the development and evolvement since its inception shortly after the state of Israel formed in 1948. The dust jacket will be protected with a new inert book sleeve which is removable. Please contact us if you would like any more information or additional photographs. This 271 pp. book is the unique story of Israel creating it's first Air Force in 1947. It has 4 photo sections. This is a Presentation Copy to a Bob Ouelette in December of 1976, and as such, is genuinely signed by 5 people, on the first blank flyleaf. I suppose these were higher-ups in the Israel Aircraft Industry. One name, Gideon A. Stern shows up online as an author, soldier, journalist & a lawyer.
