Issued in a decorative small hardback with an intricate design highlighted by foil printing, and without a jacket, this features five historical miniatures by the great and tragic writer, Stefan Zweig. Spine lightly sunned, else tight and internally fine; lacks dust jacket. Tight and nice first edition of this account of the feud between the two French preachers and theologians in the mid-16th century.

Otherwise, internally neat, clean and bright. Austrian historian Stefan Zweig's Decisive Moments in History was first published in German in 1927.  The first edition contained just five miniatures although through later editions that nunber grew to 14.  Its first English translation was published in 1940 as The Tide of Fortune: Twelve Historical Miniatures, with the miniatures all relating to world-changing events in history.
