One of a series of books issued by Taiwan's National Palace Museum on important Chinese art in foreign museums and private collections, this volume focuses on ancient Buddhist bronze, wood, ceramic and stone sculpture. Ranging in date from the Later Zhau (early 4th century) to the Qing (17th-early 20th century) many of the 184 objects identified would be national treasures if they had remained in China.
