Boards have moderate shelf wear, with rubbing and marking. Moderate bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends. Book has noticeable forward lean. Boards are slightly bowed with sunning overall.

In blind-stamped red cloth with gilt. Lacks frontis portrait, but Roll of Honour present. Bookplate & owner's name dated May 1915 on front end paper. End papers a little yellowed & foxed; back hinge strained. Short tear in edge of contents page. Cloth lifting a little on front board; some wear to spine, with dull & worn gilt.

Used-Very Good. VG hardback. Undated but c. 1915 with numerous B&W illustrations; tightly bound in red half morocco with a little wear to some corners and edges; lovely gilt lettering and designs to spine. Kiddle W95 states that a 'Roll of Honour' should be included; it is missing from this copy but there is no reference to one in the contents list. Internally, endpapers yellowed and light yellowing to page edges; owner's name on front paste-down; a few discolouration spots; otherwise, a clean, tidy copy.

"The Full Story of a Great Achievement". In fair khaki coloured cloth with gilt titles to front with tipped in colour illustration of two saluting soldiers. The boards are tight; grubby; rather worn, especially around the edges, with bumped and frayed corners and spine ends (the cloth on the front tail corner has worn away). Marked and tanned end papers; the front free end paper appears to be missing. Very tanned and age-toned cut edges. The text block is loose up to page 25 (title page is detached); grubby marks throughout, mainly on fore edge. Good minus condition for page block. Overall condition good minus. With b/w photos on every page. No dedications etc. Without jacket.

Roy. 4to., First Edition, with coloured frontispiece, coloured plates and numerous photographs in the text; original red cloth, upper board framed and blocked in blind, and lettered in gilt, gilt back, covers moderately age-soiled, case lightly shaken else a good, clean copy. With prize bookplate on front paste-down.
