The 15.95 original jacket has always been a weak point to this title because it was produced with no lamination. It is what it is, chipping at the top and heel of the spine, some rubbing wear, some soil to the rear panel, stress to all folds, several short tears. 1982 mistake on the first state jacket. Basis for both movies, Hard to find a first printing this nice. NOT personalized to anyone. "First Edition" stated on copyright page; gutter code begins "Y" but other numbers are obscured by adjacent page. I've graded the book as very good: clean bright text (possibly unread), very good corners with only mild wear on the hardcover boards. Dust jacket is first state with "1982 Caretakers" on rear. Price is intact on the dust jacket and the cover image remains appealing but there is the usual chipping and creasing along the extremities (see photo). Still looks attractive with the addition of a new mylar cover. Authenticated Stephen King books are extremely scarce, mine seem to be the only ones available anywhere.
