This is a gently-read copy from the "advance reader's edition" (uncorrected proof) produced for reviewers and other book industry insiders in advance of the publication of the first American edition of this first Harry Potter book in September 1998. This book is tight, clean, bright and has been stored in archival conditions. Please see my attached photos. Note the marketing plan included on the back cover which shows the first printing of the debut American edition was planned at a remarkably low 30,000 copies. The print run of this edition was certainly much lower than that and few remain in such perfect condition.
