This is a 2004 variation of J.K. Rowling's signature signed in blue ballpoint pen to the half title page of a first UK edition, 33rd printing copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The book was originally offered as part of a charity auction to benefit the 'Sick Kids Friends Foundation' at the Signet Library, Edinburgh, on the 8th December 2004, and was kept by the winning bidder for over 20 years. It is accompanied by the original invitation card inviting the recipient to join the foundation at The Parish Church of St. Cuthbert, Edinburgh, on Wednesday 8th December 2004 from 18:30-20:30 for 'CAROLS FOR CHRISTMAS' followed by dinner at the Signet Library. This copy is in pristine condition with no flaws internally or externally to either the book itself or the dust jacket. It is perfect, the best copy we have ever handled, housed in a red quarter leather clamshell box with gold gilt lettering to the spine.
