Tight, bright, crisp copy in original Ellen Raskin jacket with bookplate signed by Madeleine L'Engle laid in. Blue cloth boards with yellow lettering on spine. Boards tight and square. Book has crisp pages, perfectly clean. On the free front endpaper, there is an attractive vintage bookplate with the previous owner's name written neatly in the small box provided. No other writing, marks, etc. --very nice. The dust jacket has a little wear to caps and corners and some light soil and small stain to back panel. Price is intact on flap. Please see photos.

Nearly all pages are perfectly clean and bright, but there are a few with a bit of very light, very small stain, and one spread where there is a one about the size of a quarter. Jacket only fair.
