No remainder mark, no previous owner markings or inscriptions, not price clipped, not a book club edition, not a former library book. Signed in thin blue felt tip pen by the author on title page beneath his name and the title; done in my presence at Barnes and Noble in Crestwood, Missouri on Tuesday, August 31, 2004. The process involved getting a signing pass in the morning (I got there at 7:30 and got the necessary pass at 10:00) and then getting in the signing line that afternoon; that meant getting there at 4:00, waiting in the hot sun until my spot got into the building (about 5:30) and then snaking around several Secret Service agents, etc. (no bundles or things other than this book were allowed in) and finally getting in the room where Clinton was standing at a podium signing and chatting with patrons--that last room held only about 10 people.
