Dust jacket rubbed with some bumping and scuffing at edges; 1.5cm closed tear at spine head; dj's laminate has several slender horizontal raised creased streaks across both panels (a commonly encountered fault for copies of this dj); some toning to front and rear white flaps; small gold oval bookseller ticket for Oxford, Mississippi's Square Books at bottom of front flap; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Black cloth spine with vibrant gilt stamping; dark brown boards. Some foxing and light toning to edges. Author's four-line ink inscription upon the half-title page: "To Ann | Keep on biking [?] | Best Wishes | John Grisham." Interior pages are clean. Binding retains some crispness. A very good copy in a very good- dust jacket. Tail of spine is slightly rubbed, corners are as new as as is the text block. Unclipped DJ has very light edge wear at spine ends, the lamination starting to ripple over the some of the raised lettering of the title on the front panel. Original sales slip is laid in.
