New York: Random House. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1972. First Edition (?). Hardcover. 0394824903 . Text is clean. Glossy pictorial cover shows some wear, rubbing evident to bottom edges of front/rear covers, base of spine bumped. Previous owner name stamped on front free endpaper and front pastedown. Dust jacket shows some edgwear, has one closed tear to front panel along top edge. Dust jacket contains all first printing points (Younger/Hirsh) except for lack of price on dust jacket flap. Cliff Erickson of To & Again Books notes this anomaly is not documented in Younger/Hirsh and according to his research is more scarce than the DJ with the $2.50 price. Random House discontinued printing dust jackets for this title the year after its initial publication. Peter Glassman from Books of Wonder concludes, however that it is more likely a "Cat in the Hat Book Club" edition, however there are not the expected Book Club markings found on other titles. ; Bright and Early Books for Beginning Beginners; Vol. 13; 9.10 X 6.90 X 0.40 inches .

The dust jacket is a bit shelfworn, with a closed tear to the top of the rear panel; else about very good. Younger 51.

1st 1972. Very good condition in an almost very good dustwrapper. Bright & Early Series. White pictorial boards. Colour illustrations throughout. Spine and corners bumped with a couple of small splits to base of spine. Inscription in blue biro to front pastedown. Very pale page browning else contents clean. Dustwrapper ($2.50 printed price on front flap) is edge creased and torn with some slight loss and a few light marks. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched!

Light foxing to board edges, else very good in a very good (three inch crease from the base of the front panel, foxing about the edges) dust jacket. The dust jacket has the original $2.50 price in the upper corner of the front flap and lists to this title on the rear panel.
