Fine in a Very Good jacket, unclipped ($12.95), generally toned, bumped at the top edge, soiled at the rear panel. Quarter black cloth with blue paper on the boards. Square and firmly bound, clean internally. Conroy's second novel, a coming-of-age story of Will McLean during his time at a student at a South Carolina military institute. Adapted into the 1983 novel of the same title.
