Rare early signature contemporaneous with the original publishing of this title. Includes certification from PSA/DNA with signed Letter of Authenticity and certification label adhered to letter. Authentication may be confirmed at PSA site with cert. no. AI03539. Dark green boards with blind-stamped Stephen King facsimile signature, black leatherette spine wrap, gilt spine titles, light shelf wear. Pages fine, sharp. Creepy black with bright green jacket design, first state with the red metallic cover titles, fine; unclipped 19.95, protected in new clear sleeve. Rare near fine signed and certified first printing of a Stephen King classic in same first state wrapper. Very attractive. James Spence Authentication label at title page and certification card with code DD61561 which may be confirmed at JSA site. Related, and also signed, SK newsletter "Castle Rock" from November, 1987 featuring front page, above-the-fold article: "Stephen King, Sci-Fi and The Tommyknockers." Signed by Stephen King to lower border at page 7: "Be well, Stephen King." Acquired from original signee who collected SK signatures versus pay while contributing to the Castle Rock newsletter. Issue includes: the cover page review of "The Tommyknockers"; the SK penned "The Triple Whammy" where he waxes on the three Friday the 13th's which occurred in 1987; an article on ABC miniseries "IT"; and, an edifying and entertaining essay: "The Automobile Motif: Stephen King's Most Frequent Villian."
