This is a first American edition, first printing of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in hardback. The printing of this book took place in July of 2005, and the print run number set includes "1", as can be seen from the item's pictures. It appears to be a new book that was not read, and was catalogued somewhere. There is a "12" in marker, about .25 inch in height and width, at the top of the book. Otherwise the book is in perfect condition, and appears not to have been read.
FIRST AMERICAN EDITION FIRST STATE WITH FULL NUMBERING SEQUENCE. ERROR COPY ON PAGE 100 (NOT PAGE 99 LIKE USUAL) IT READS :ELEVEN OWLS" IT SHOULD READ TWN WHICH WAS CORRECTED IN LATER PRINTINGS. AND THE BOOK ENDS ON PAGE 652 INSTEAD OF 672. RARE FIND.
True Rare First Edition copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Has misprint on page 100 which reads eleven outstanding O.W.L.s. should have read Ten outstanding O.W.L.s. In later editions this mistake was corrected.
It is notoriously difficult for collectors to find signed copies of the American editions of books 4, 5 and 6. This particular book is a first printing and was signed at the event titled 'An evening with Harry, Carrie and Garp' which was also attended by authors Stephen King and John Irving in New York City in 2006. First and second printings of the book were signed in thick black marker and it was the first time Rowling had visited the United States and signed books since she made a brief visit in 2000. This was the only event at which J.K. Rowling signed copies of the US edition of Harry Potter and the Half blood Prince whereby a limited number of VIP 'family packages' were offered at $1000 each which included 4 premium orchestra seats and a set of 3 signed books- one from each of the authors. The book and dust jacket are in pristine condition with no fading at all, the pages are clean with no inscriptions or marks of any kind. The book is unread, the boards are square with sharp corners with no foxing to the text block at all. A beautiful example of a book and dust jacket in perfect condition. It comes housed in a green clamshell box made purposely for this book, with the title and author s name printed in gold leaf to the spine. The signature comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston theHarryPotterspecialist the world s leading expert in authenticating Jo s signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card.
